...MORE Mom's Group...Preschool Day 1
We have a great mom in our group, Tanya, that is a licensed teacher and use to be a preschool teacher. She started us out with this great kit to do preschool at home, only who wants to do all this fun stuff and not share it? So, we are getting together in groups and working on these wonderful projects that include arts/crafts, music, and even cooking fun!
Here we are in the "classroom" with the finger painting activity for the day. It included painting the blue "water" and then coloring and cutting out the sea life for the ocean theme we had going.

We also made homeade lemonade and had yummy sailboat chicken salad sandwhiches for lunch. The kids had so much fun jucing the lemons and pouring the sugar and water.

Don't those sailboats look great! Tanya is such a great hostess and did I mention the wonderful fun the kids had in the backyard after lunch??

IT'S OFFICIAL...I'M A STAY HOME MOM!!
So Friday the 20th was more than just the last day of school and Thad's half birthday...it was also MY LAST DAY WORKING!
I can't believe it. I feel so strange, but also so much better- now that all the anticipation is out of the way.
Weird how I didn't think staying at home was for me, but for now, it's the only right thing to do. I was being forced to choose between my family and my job. You can guess which is more important to me, right?? I just could not see working as hard as I do and paying out 75% of my paycheck to strangers to watch my sweet boy. My job was just not being flexable enough for me to stay with having Terri watch him. I am so sad that Terri won't have him anymore, even just a couple of days a week, but my only other option was for him to go somewhere else everyday, and that was not happening. It was either work the days I can with Terri watching him, or not at all. So here I am, job free, and I think my stress level is down already...
Except, David is out of town until Monday morning. Off in Alaska with the friends to have some time I really think he needs. I hope he has a good time and comes back with stories and inspiration to have some "family" campouts soon. I can't wait, though you may think I am just a boppy little sissy girl..I can chop firewood and haul water with the rest. I grew up camping and "roughing it". I actually love the outdoors and would love to see how it goes taking Thad out camping soon.
... PICS OF THAD'S HALF B-DAY PARTY COMING SOON!! ...

-HELLO HOUSE-
Nancy Stewart is a children's singer - songwriter based in Seattle, Washington.

My mom's group put this out for all of us to go see today at the libray in Fairwood. What a presentation!! Nancy is the best at what she does. Today she put on a presentation of "Hello House". It was amazing! Thad was up dancing and singing along! This was so educational for kids to learn that even the little things they do can make a big difference in the environment. She also helped kids learn the importance of being prepared in an emergency...so now Thad has his "emergency" whistle, that they handed out at the end of the program. As long as he has fun with it I guess, but oh my ears.

Thad at work with mommy
Thad and I had so much fun on Saturday. David had to work, and we didn't want to bother anyone to watch Thad on short notice, so I just took the boy with me to work. He did really well...he even watched me draw blood on patients and was not scared at all. I think he may have some interest in this feild.
Thad got so comfortable being there that he felt he should give a check up to our staff. He checked Michelle's heart for her and Dr. Nymruch's ears, just to be sure they all checked out.

More mom's group fun...

I just LOVE getting together with my mom's group! We have so much fun- Oh, and the kids love it too..Ha ha!
We were just finishing up a fun playdate at the Fairwood Library where we meet about once per month for an art or craft project. This day we made pinecone bird feeders. Well, the mom's did, and the kids helped at little, watched or just played. They have fun, we have fun, and I just can't say anymore about fun! LOL!
I will have more fun pictures to add soon.

My Poor Car!!
I was minding my own business. I just wanted go pick up Thad at Grandma and Grandpa's house after work and start my Mother's Day weekend...
From the pics you can see clearly that this girl should have been paying more attention. I'm tired of being angry though, so I will just take this as one of life's lessons. I will come out a better person having been through what I've been through and I have to look at this as a lesson in forgiveness as well. Though, I must add that this is not this young ladie's first offence, or second, or third...you get the picture.
I hope everyone had a better Mother's Day weekend than I did- or at least not worse.

Ha, Ha. It even looks like my car wet it's pants in all the excitement, ..but it's the coolant that came out when the impact cracked my radiator. They put sand on it to sweep it up. ...Poor, poor car.
